The Great American BBQ: Your Labor Day Feast at Rob's House

Smoke in the air, plates piled high, and a good cause at the heart of it all — here's everything a first-time guest needs for a warm Labor Day gathering in Arlington.

The Great American BBQ returns to Rob's House in Arlington, VA on Monday, September 7, 2026. Expect all-you-can-eat barbecue across two serving times in a relaxed backyard setting.

There's a deeper reason to gather, too.

A portion of every meal is donated to a local animal shelter. Your seat at the table helps feed animals in need.

Everything is all-you-can-eat. Pace yourself and come back for seconds — or thirds.

Your Day: Finding the Food

The backyard is organized around four BBQ serving stations plus a dedicated food area, so there's always a spot nearby to fill your plate.

Seating tables line the southern edge of the space, giving you room to gather, eat, and return for refills with ease.

Spread out across the stations — if one has a line, another is likely open just steps away.

How to Participate

This is an all-you-can-eat event, so join in freely and return to the serving stations as often as you like.

Grab a seat at any open table — Tables 1 through 8 are available for guests to share and settle into.

Make the most of it:

Visit any serving station to fill your plate
Claim an open table and make yourself at home
Return for seconds whenever you're ready
Remember: your meal supports a local animal shelter
